Whisky is derived from the Scootish gaelic term “uisge-beatha” which means “water of life”. There can be no whisky without the presence of water. The natural source of water from The Macallan estate is instrumental in the creation of our unique whisky.

Inspired by River Spey, from where we source the water needed to make our peerless single matls, we have embarked on a journey in celelbration of famous water areas of the world. Our travels have taken us to the Vermilion Lakes, located in Alberta, Canada.
